The Marti Norris Pro-Am Class

In honor of Marti's memory, the Jingle Bell Horse Show has created the Marti Norris Memorial Pro-Am Class. This special class was created to honor Marti's passion for horses and her personal achievements in the show ring with the horses she loved.

The Marti Norris Memorial Pro-Am Class will be the final class of Saturday's Jingle Bell All-Breed Horse Show. The winner of the class will receive the Marti Norris Perpetual Trophy.

Following the Class, a reception in Marti's honor will be held at the Del Mar Ocean Club. Together we will remember Marti with love and gratitude for the gift of her life. Her light will forever shine in the horses she loved, the friends she cherished and the dreams of riders she continues to inspire.

The Marti Norris Scholarship

The Marti Norris Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the bright spirit of a rider who grew up in the show ring, beginning in walk/trot classes and rising to a successful Junior/Amateur Exhibitor. Jingle Bell was one of Marti’s most cherished shows. She loved celebrating the holiday season there with friends, sharing laughter, creating memories, and embracing the joy and tradition that made the show so special to her.

In celebration of her legacy, the Norris family created the "Marti Norris Scholarship" to inspire and encourage young riders who are dedicated to their horsemanship journey and wish to participate in the Annual Jingle Bell Horse Show.

Riders may apply with either a written essay or a live-recorded video essay.

Essay Theme:
A personal reflection on your riding journey;

  • Your connection with your horse

  • How training keeps you grounded as a young athlete

  • And the meaning you find in stepping into the show ring.

Application Window:
Essays are due by November 1, 2026

All submissions will be thoughtfully reviewed, and selected applicants will be notified by email.
